You know the story.
Artists revitalize downtown areas to a point where it becomes cool to live there. The irony is because of their efforts it becomes almost impossible to find and afford reasonable gallery space.
We strongly believe the Loiter Galleries pop up model is a real solution.
Since our launch in June Loiter Galleries has seen tangible results. We need to continue our efforts and that's where people like you and your friends come in.
The day to day operations, and out of pocket expenses can be a lot for this little engine. Everyone knows that artists are the pioneers of the resurgence and/or evolution of neighborhoods. But once the resurgence has taken hold, there’s a problem, many of these pioneers find they can no longer afford, or even find, available gallery space.
Loiter Galleries is a pop up collaborative in the SoCal area that changes the dynamic and business model of the traditional gallery. This results in the creation of a space previously unobtainable to working artists.
Our model benefits property owners as well. We fill vacant, dark spaces with vibrant art and desirable foot traffic. These spaces regularly rent more quickly due to our efforts.
We are asking you to be a part of our mission, by contributing to the expenses of running this operation. A mission to create art space and artists’ communities in areas that were previously out of reach.
We have proof of concept with our first gallery in Long Beach, California .
Loiter Galleries has already displayed several artists and received certificates of recognition from the local government; we’ve gotten newscoverage and aided artist sales but most importantly, we’ve provided a home for a community of artists.
Just like everyone else we have bills to pay to run these spaces (Our long term goal is to have multiple galleries running simultaneously.)
Please accept our sincere thanks in advance. Welcome to the Loiter Galleries community.

About us: Vinny Picardi has received numerous commissions for the Hyatt, Marriott, and Andaz Hotels. In addition, he is currently in consideration for two Long Beach City government art projects. Vinny’s winning proposal’s theme is based on a campaign called “Go Local”. In effect, bringing artistically interpreted local images into the local space. Creating a unique connection. Monica Fleming has been awarded numerous grants and commissions for many site specific installations in hotel and restaurants. Including Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles. She has resided and shown in her hometown of Long Beach for over 15 years. Her intent is to allow a more enigmatic yet fluid aspect to appear. It is this quest that I hope to inspire us to transcend the commonality of our daily lives. MonicaFlemingArt.com
Their styles are particularly well suited for busy and large spaces. They have teamed up and had successful shows at the Phantom Galleries in Long Beach and the Brewery Art Walk in DTLA. If fortunate enough to be chosen for your location they will bring all their resources and advantages to bear. With the purpose of benefiting all involved.
