Loggers Rally for Big Phil and Blake
Donation protected
On Monday, September 7th, Big Phil and Blake, both residents of Shaver Lake, California both lost their homes and belongings in the Creek Fire.
Blake evacuated the mountain when he received orders. Phil stayed and attempted to save his home by felling several truck loads of wood to build a fire line on his own. At the last minute Phil threw what he could into his truck and barely made it out with his life.
Unfortunately, the wind and fire were too strong and both Big Phil and Blake lost everything in the blaze.
As members of the logging community, let's rally with support - anything you can give would be appreciated. As a personal friend of both Phil and Blake as well as a small business owner that supports the logging community out of Washington, let's do all we can to lift up our friends during this transition.
At this time, the biggest need is monetary donations as they set-up new housing, replace all of their personal belongings such as clothing, bedding, kitchen supplies and food. They also need to replace all of their work equipment such as saws, grinders and tools.
