On the afternoon of June 24, our dear friend Logan Sims was involved in a severe motor vehicle accident on the Alaska Highway in Fort St. John.
Logan suffered multiple skull fractures and significant brain swelling and was airlifted to Edmonton, where he remains in a medically induced coma surrounded by his family, who are waiting and praying for any news or signs of improvement.
Anyone who knows Logan knows the kind of man he is. He is hardworking, genuine, and the kind of person who would drop everything to help a friend in need. He takes pride in his work as a welder, in doing things right, and in being there for the people he loves. He is deeply loved not only in Fort St. John, but also in his hometown of Salmon Arm and by countless friends and family whose lives he has touched over the years.
At this time, we have no idea what the road ahead will look like. We don't know what his recovery will entail, whether he will be able to return to welding, or what challenges lie ahead. What we do know is that his family needs support as they remain by his side and prepare for the long journey ahead.
We are raising funds to help cover immediate expenses, travel and accommodation costs for his family, any out-of-pocket medical expenses, ongoing rehabilitation costs, lost income, and the many unknown expenses that come with a life-changing accident.
Tomorrow is unknown. Right now, we are holding onto hope, praying for a miracle, and taking each day as it comes.
If you are able, please consider donating. If you cannot give financially, we ask that you please share this fundraiser and keep Logan and his family in your prayers.
Thank you for supporting a man who has spent his life helping so many others.
This fundraiser is being organized by Logan's lifelong best friend on behalf of Logan and his family. The beneficiary of these funds will be his family.
