Logan's recovery and Jim and Heidi's much needed help

Hello Everyone, we are sending out this appeal on behalf of Logan Haslip and his family. Logan was recently in a serious ATV accident. He lost control of his quad, struck a tree, and was thrown to the ground. His vehicle then rolled on top of him. He was rushed by ambulance from Espanola to Sudbury, and subsequently transported to Toronto via air-ambulance. Although he was wearing a helmet, he suffered a broken femur, broken pelvis, severe internal bleeding, several broken ribs, and a punctured lung. After several hours of surgery, a nerve block, and a blood transfusion, he has begun his long road to recovery. Logan has been admitted to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, five hours from home. His discharge date and rehabilitation plan are still to be determined. Logan's parents, Jim and Heidi, have remained by his side throughout the ordeal, sleeping in the hospital room or in their truck. Despite this, their out-of-pocket expenses are piling up. Logan will have a lengthy recovery with the possibility of further surgeries and months or years of physical therapy. This will likely also include several future trips back and forth from Espanola to Sunnybrook hospital. Please consider supporting this campaign to help defray costs incurred by the family.
