Logan's Hero's Battling Leukemia
Donation protected
Third time’s the charm! Logan’s cancer has returned for a third time. He is battle tested and determined to beat cancer for good. Logan was first diagnosed with cancer in July of 2018. He was in remission for 8 months until the cancer returned in December of 2019. On February 18, 2021 the cancer returned for the third time.
During the first diagnosis their insurance was billed for over $4 million dollars. They are blessed to have great insurance but it doesn’t cover everything when you consider deductibles, missed employment to care for Logan, meals in the hospital, etc. They have an amazing care team at Phoenix Children’s Hospital but because he’s had so much chemo over the last couple years there is a chance chemo won’t get him where he needs to be. If this occurs, they will be heading to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHoP) for CAR T therapy trials. This will require flights, housing, meals, and general expenses associated with being away from home and work.
Logan is an amazing kid. Over the years he has been keeping up with his school work while in the hospital, at home with a teacher, and online. Although he has missed traditional school he has not dropped any grade levels and just recently received straight A’s for the fall semester of 7th grade. He just amazes us with his perseverance. Every time he goes to the hospital he knows something is going to happen that will hurt but he just marches right through the front door. He is a sweet soul and unconditionally loves his sister and his dogs. We will do everything we can to be sure Logan lives a long and healthy life. He’s fought so hard and we fight so hard for him.
The generosity they've so humbly received from family and friends has been amazing and everything donated has gone directly to the expenses associated with Logan’s care. They are so grateful! Again, they find ourselves in a position to ask for additional help. We will fight and we will win! We love you all!
