Logan’s Fight to Be with His Daughters

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Logan, and I’m a father fighting for the chance to raise my two beautiful daughters, Evelyn and Eloise.

In October of 2024, me and my girls mother separated due to an unhealthy relationship. My oldest daughter was moved across the country to Virginia while their mom was pregnant with our second child. I was separated from my daughter, and my world was turned upside down. At times, I felt hopeless, alone, and like I wasn't wanted.

But I refused to give up. So I started over from nothing. I worked tirelessly, rebuilding my life piece by piece so I could be the father my daughters deserve. In April, I traveled to Virginia to be there for the birth of my youngest daughter, Eloise, who was born on May 1st. During the time I was up here, I started looking for places to move that would be big enough and safe enough for my girls and me. I told their mom that I planned on moving up here soon to be near them. When I mentioned that to her, I was immediately told I could no longer see my children, and a full custody filing was made against me. From that moment on, I’ve been fighting with everything I have to stay in their lives.

In November 2025, I made the move to Virginia to be closer to them. In December, I was granted limited time—weekends and Wednesdays—but not the 50/50 custody I am fighting for. The judge encouraged me to keep going, to appeal, and to come back once my youngest was at least a year old, so I had a better chance at 50/50 custody. That’s exactly what I’m doing. My next court date is set for September 2026, and this is my chance to finally have equal time with my daughters—to be there for their milestones, their laughter, their everyday lives.

But this fight comes at a cost. I’ve been working two jobs, from 8 a.m. to midnight, just to afford legal fees, a safe home for my girls, and the rising cost of living in this area. I’ve done everything I can on my own, but I’m reaching a point where I need help to keep going.

This isn’t just about court fees. It’s about me, a father fighting to be present—to have the opportunity to tuck my daughters in at night, to help with their homework, to be there when they need me. To help shape them into the beautiful women they will become.

In 2020, my son passed away, a pain I can't describe, and at the time, a pain I didn't truly understand. That loss changed me forever, and it’s one of the reasons I’m fighting so hard now. I cannot lose my daughters, too.

I have reached out to different agencies in my area. I contacted legal service of northern Virginia but I have been told they are not able to assist me do to conflict of interest. I reached out to Virginia lawyer referral service and applied for modest means but I was told there was a conflict of interest with five different lawyers. Their mother contacted these agencies and did consultations with them to prevent me from being able to use them. This is the sad reality of my situation now.

If you can support in any way—whether it’s donating or simply sharing this story—it would mean more than words can express. Every bit helps me stay in this fight for my beautiful little girls.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for helping me fight for my family.
