Yesterday my best friend heard the words no parent ever wants to hear. Her 5 year old son Logan was diagnosed with cancer.
"I never in my life thought we would be here but. Monday (1-9-17) morning Logan had a seizure he was taken to the hospital by ambulance. There they did some blood tests and the results came back that his blood levels(red blood cells,white blood cells, and his platelets)were all really low so they transferred him to children's hospital of LA , there they gave him a blood transfusion and antibiotics and antiviral for his cold sore that got bad. Tuesday they did a spinal tap to check for infection in the brain, that came back clear, they also took bone marrow samples which came back that he has leukemia they are waiting for the results to find out what type of leukemia he has. #leukemia #pleasepray #mybraveboy #mylove"
His exact diagnosis is Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia which is 95% curable. He starts chemotherapy today (Thursday January 12th) and will have a long road of treatments to get better. I am asking for thoughts and prayers for Logan and his family. They are going to need our love and support through this difficult time in their lives. That's why I've created this campaign, to help relieve some of the financial burden that comes with the territory. The Children's hospital is an hour from their home, they will be doing A LOT of back and forth travel, and long hours waiting there away from home. Already, Jaeyson has had to make 4 trips a day between their home and the hospital because he's had to make sure their oldest son, Nate, is making it to and from school ok. The hospital does not have free parking, so he's having to pay each and every time he parks. There's also a possibility that there will be no income for at least a month while Logan starts his treatments. They're going to need our help to ease that burden of need where gas, parking and food will be needed, and any and all other needs that we can help meet. I'm reaching out to you, if you can please help this family, there is never a better time than the present.
