In Loving Memory of Logan Jones

Donation protected
Logan Jones died suddenly yesterday morning, June 8th, 2015. This page is to help his precious family shoulder the financial burden of saying goodbye and laying his body to rest.

You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn
through the sleepless nights,
Each tear entered in your ledger,
each ache written in your book.
Psalm 56:8 (The Message)

There's no delicate or graceful or pretty way to tell you that Logan is gone. Death by nature is abrupt and crude and messy. It rips the very things we love most out of our little worlds and no amount of fist clenching or tear streaming can reverse it. We gather for the goodbyes and we sing our sweet songs but inside it's all sorrows and wailing.

I cannot paint a pretty picture for you nor tie a bow around what has happened. I cannot tell you everything happens for a reason or that it's okay. Because there is no good reason and it's not okay. 23 years is not enough.

Even as a child, Logan's heart was bigger than his chest. He'd give until he had nothing, because he knew love was everything. He was a tree climber and bike rider and a car fixer. He was a son and a brother.

How quickly is can become was, present becomes past, what was here is now gone. But you are loved, Logan. Furiously and fully. By your family; by God. Now and forever, this can never be changed.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life... will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

We're born innocents yet so quickly made vulnerable to the darkness of this life. We cannot stay children, we cannot stay blind.  We grow up and some of the darkness gets on us, and sometimes it gets in and grabs ahold of us, and sometimes we lose the fight to get free.

Logan struggled with drug addiction most of his fragile adolescent years. He spent the last 6 months of his life trying to get clean; trying to turn his life right-side up. Logan got baptized. He was going to addiction classes. Logan wanted to be free.

Don't we all just want to be clean and free of something?
Logan, we have no stones to throw.

Logan relapsed and died yesterday morning, June 8th, 2015. He is loved, he is missed, and his friends and family are desperately grieving the loss of this precious, cherished life.

This page is to help the Jones family shoulder the financial burden of saying goodbye and laying Logan to rest.

Parents Tammy and Shayne are both self-employed; losing any amount of income during this time of grieving is devastating to their financial situation. Any surplus funds will provide the family with the help they need beyond the initial expenses death demands.

Would you consider donating any amount you can to help this family grieve the way they need to?

If you cannot give and you're a praying person, would you intercede for this family in your time with God?

Thank you all for reading Logan's story.
