Open Books Logan Square Bookstore

Tax deductible
Open Books is bringing its inventory and flair to Logan Square and opening a new retail location in the community this summer!

Open Books Logan Square will become the third of our signature community-minded bookstores, offering 4,300 square feet packed with books for children, adults, and families. Before the grand opening, we are looking to fund a variety of buildout projects to make the space energizing and welcoming, and we would be thrilled if you considered making a gift, of any size, to support this effort.

We are already building new customer amenities, including tons of bookshelves, an entrance way and restroom, inspiring signage, and more to ensure that shoppers and supporters alike have an amazing experience in our new location. Our hope is that through everything we have in store, especially thousands of titles for all ages, we will share a love and the importance of reading throughout the new space.

Check out some of the work already being done below!

Our amazing team is hard at work building 120 bookcases!

The second floor space will be perfect for gathering and finding cozy places to read.

As with all of our retail locations, the entirety of the store’s proceeds will support Open Books’ neighborhood literacy programs and increased at-home access to culturally relevant and engaging books for Chicago readers of all ages, most immediately those living in the North Lawndale, Little Village, and Pilsen communities. We would love your support in transforming this new space into one that is family-friendly, colorful, and full to the brim with high-quality and affordable books!
