Logan is our neighbor. He is much like other 11 year old boys who love hockey and Nascar, are a bit mischievious and have a great smile. Unlike most of those little boys, Logan was born with Cerebal Palsey and is confined to a motorized wheel chair.
Two years ago, Logan started playing hockey with Hope, Inc. Hockey. This is an incredible organization that provides sports and recreational opportunities critical to the health and development of children and adults with mobility challenges and their families. Logan is on the 'Manual' team which requires the help of a pusher, sometimes that is his Dad Jason. Other families with children in sports may take it for granted. That is not the case here. It has been amazing to see how much this opportunity to play has meant to Logan and his family.
Logan has been blessed with an INCREDIBLE opportunity to travel and compete with the Hope, Inc. Hurricanes Sled Hockey team at the National Disabled Hockey Festival. This event will be held in San Jose, CA April 4th – April 9th. As you can imagine, this is not an inexpensive trip. There are numerous costs to consider, such as airfare, hotel, transportation and meals.
I hope you will consider joining me in assisting the family with some of these expenses so that Logan may compete and his parents can watch him play. Hockey is a sport Logan loves to watch, and thanks to Hope, Inc. one he can now also play.
No donation is too small! Our goal is to provide the funds to the family by February 28th, 2017 so they can finalize travel arrangements.
