Logan family forced from home after alleged stolen car crash.

Dave, Jas and family are current victims of youth crime in Logan!

Jas retells of the night of the car crash:

"Wake up at 1am to a car crashed into the side of our house!! The sound was crazy!! 3 minor kids driving, asking Dave as he is searching the car for bodies to not call police or ambos! Next video is our neighbours yard. The car drove through their metal electric gate that was concreted in an rolled through their front yard through our fence into the corner of our house".

Dave says it best in his own heartfelt words after the incident:

" Sos Update stolen car crashed into our house.

We are getting kicked out of our house because its been declared unsafe we were given 3 days from Friday (11th June) which means tomorrow we have to be out we have nowhere to go My Wife is a stage 4 Cancer Survivor who now breathes through a hole in her neck and no longer has a voice box so she cannot speak anymore riddle me this how the fuck can the house be unsafe if the MakeSafe guy came and Made it safe This is fucking bullshit tonight we pack with no plan wtf how did we get our life turned upside down because of these kids in a stolen car".

The family are now left with an uncertain future as their landlord of approximately 10yrs served them with a notice to leave on Friday. they now also must struggle to come to terms with the trauma they endured that night, while trying to pack a home, find new housing and still try to function as a “normal” family. The 3 youth responsible for the crash didn’t consider the repercussions those choices would have not only on themselves but the victims who were also the very same people who came their aid after they crashed the car into their home. Just goes to show you the calibre of people Dave and Jas and their family.

Dave is known in the local music scene as “Kombi Dave” one of the members which make this three piece local punk band “Dedway”. The bands mantra “subtle like a brick through a window” may now need to be upgraded for upcoming shows to include the byline “…..also subtle like a car through ya house!” The Dedway boys currently hold band practice at Kombi Dave’s home. Which now leaves the very talented prominent local band without rehearsal space with upcoming regular local shows locked in and a tour scheduled to begin.
