Medical Help for Logan Cooper
Donation protected
Logan Cooper is my nephew and a 20-year-old young man studying to receive his degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is active with his church, The Harbour, in Meridianville, Alabama, as a member of the church band and he is engaged to be married to a beautiful young woman. He had his whole life ahead of him. This life was almost cut short in the early hours of March 7th, 2021 when he was struck, head-on by a driver traveling the wrong way down Highway 431 in Meridianville, Alabama. Logan had finished his closing shift at McDonalds and was on his way home when he was struck.
My brother received a frantic call from a bystander that his son was in critical condition and was being extracted from the vehicle. Upon arrival, my brother and sister-in-law could only stand to the side and watch as their son was pulled from the wreckage.
As faithful servants of Jesus Christ, we can only thank Him for saving Logan's life, as he should not have survived the powerful impact from a vehicle so much larger than his own. God had his angels in the car with Logan that night.
Logan sustained many injuries: Two broken femurs near the hip sockets, a broken clavicle, two broken knee caps, a broken elbow, a broken ankle and bruising on the brain. Logan's recovery will be long and painful and will require funds that will not be covered by insurance. Logan will be wheelchair bound for an undetermined amount of time and will require around the clock care. Money donated to Logan will be used for the following (but not limited to the following)
1. Wheelchair ramps (including lumber, materials and labor)
2. Medical equipment (chairs, lifts, bed, accessories for day-to-day living)
3. Medical personnel to help with Logan's everyday needs
4. Loss of income
5. Deductibles and Co-Insurance
6. Physical Therapy
7. Occupational Therapy
