Memorial for Logan Boshell

Hi my name is Tony and I’m setting up this go fund me page for my fiancé Teka Boshell. Tragically she lost her son to a suicide a week ago. His name was Logan. He served as a Sargent in the military.

I want to respect her wishes, and not speak my mind about this entire situation, but I’m very positive she would appreciate me shedding light on a few things. This is a very sad situation she is going through. Her family has been difficult, which is understandable when a family loses a loved one. It’s complicated, it hurts, and because of this it’s been hard to plan a ceremony for Teka’s son, Logan. Even when we arrived to see Logan, the hospital staff was also being difficult during this situation that came abruptly. I have never in all my life witnessed people be so inconsiderate to another family member, especially when a death of a loved one happens. This is the time to set all differences aside.

Her son was married and his wife of a very short time has had all say. So Logan served at the Arlington cemetery and told his mom he did over 600 funerals while there. This she assumed is where he would have wanted to be laid to rest. But not the case, his wife said he wanted to be cremated. So his mom Teka is very upset about this. She has no say.

To top it off of how horrible she’s been treated during this hard time her name was not even mentioned in his obituary. Teka birthed her kids and raised them from babies as a single mom all of their lives. Their dads weren’t involved at all. This saddened me to see she was not even placed in the obituary by the family. The wife of Logan and the other family members are not even having a ceremony for Logan until the spring . Teka believes we should hold a service before the spring, and that Logan deserves to be recognized during this unfortunate time.

I have been her mouth because she cannot be rude. I’m saddened and am her number one support. She also is supported by hundreds including the military. Legal things are being cared for now but the main thing is she wants to give her son Logan a memorial service that he truly deserves and she cannot afford one.

So I’m setting up this go fund me to raise money so she can have a memorial service for him. I believe she wants to have this in our hometown of Burlington, Wisconsin where Logan grew up. I have stood by and seen daily just how hurt she is and how much pain she’s in. She is a mom and just encountered the worst thing a mom could ever go through. And some closure is remembering a loved one after they have passed.

I can say she’s been a trooper and has her head held high. But it hurts, and saddens me to see what she’s been going through in a week’s time. So I’m asking for the love and support from all of you to give her this wish to have a memorial for Logan. This would be a great Christmas gift for her.
