Arwen Avetta Bone Marrow Transplant

Our gorgeous, sweet daughter Arwen will have her 14th birthday on February 5 in the bone marrow transplant ward at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has been fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia since September 14, 2022. It’s been a hard fight. This next phase is one we never expected or hoped for, but we are so thankful she has a donor! She will be hospitalized on January 31 and her transplant is scheduled for Feb. 10.

The doctors expect her to be discharged sometime in March, and we recently were told she cannot come back home for about 3 months. She will need to be within an hour drive from the hospital at all times—even during rush hour! The Ronald McDonald House and other charities will not accept our whole family,

Chris has already taken almost 3 months of unpaid leave and needs to go back to work. I will need to take care of Arwen and our 3 other young daughters, so we need to be together!

Please if you’re able, help us raise enough money to get a furnished apartment or hotel suite for 3 months. The Ronald McDonald House will not accept us.
