UPDATE!! OMG you guys are so awesome!! We have met our goal for hay needs in just over one day. Any additional funds will now be earmarked for our feed, farrier, and vet bill for our yearly shots/coggins which we do in February. Thank you so much!!
On 01/26/2026, Locust Run Stables endured a catastrophic building collapse due to snow/ice from winter storm Fern in Clarksville, TN. Fortunately, all horses and humans were out of the building at the time of the collapse, and there were no injuries or loss of life.
Locust Run Stables is primarily a boarding, training, and lesson barn serving enthusiasts of dressage and working equitation. Within the building loss, we have lost the use of having an indoor arena, 10 stalls, a tack room, and hay storage. Sustaining this loss will significantly affect not only the daily life of our horses, but also our ability to run lessons, clinics, and training for the foreseeable future.
Fleet of Angels has graciously pledged to match the first $5000 in donations to help with our immediate need for hay! We will also need help in providing needs for the lesson and show horses such as feed, supplements, farrier and vet bills, as well as loss of income for several months. Any amount you are willing to donate will be greatly appreciated!!
Tis fundraiser has been published by Rebecca Brown, owner/instructor/trainer of Locust Run Stables. The funds will be used for hay, feed, vet, and farrier bills for the horses affected by our building collapse. I will be receiving funds through bank transfer to the Stables account to provide immediate relief in this catastrophic event.
