Loco for Coco (Scarlett Filippov)

Hi! I am Andrea Youck, a good friend of the Filippov Family. Carly and I met at a Houston Heights playground with our firstborn children about 14 years ago. We connected instantly. Carly became a sister to me and her family became part of my family.

You are receiving this info because you too are connected to the Filippov Family - Carly & Greg and their children, Milla, Scarlett, Violet, & Elon. The family has recently been through a "whirlwind" with 12-year-old, Scarlett Filippov ("Coco") being diagnosed with ALL - Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This is a very fast-spreading cancer; chemotherapy treatment began immediately and Scarlett and Carly have already spent many days and nights in the Cancer and Hematology Center at Texas Children's Hospital (TCH). Scarlett will continue to receive medical treatment for the next two and a half years of her life. Carly has shared that the staff at TCH have provided a tremendous amount of support and care, and that the local school and friend community have rallied behind her and the family providing meals, transportation for the children, and endless words of love and encouragement during this very stressful time.
