Lockdown Laughathon

Who?
Hello, we're Mick Neven (Aus) and Nicky Wilkinson (UK), a couple of professional comedians who have come up with a harebrained idea to host a 24 hour comedy show live from our lockdown house in Central Queensland, Australia.

How?
The show will run on Zoom and be streamed to Facebook Live and Twitch from 12noon (AEST) on Sunday 7th June 2020 to 12noon (AEST) on Monday 8th June 2020. We will be in the Zoom Meeting for 24 hours and will introduce each comedian in turn (120 of the legends, from 30 different countries). A few lucky audience members will be given the link to have 'front row seats' in the Zoom Meeting and the rest of you peasants can watch the show on Facebook Live or Twitch. You can jump in when you're awake in your part of the world (or stay for the full 24 hours if you're a mad dog), like, laugh, comment, and point out how tired we look with 19 hours still to go!

Why? 
Half of the money will go to the comedians who perform on the show. Like many others who work in arts and entertainment, our industry has been destroyed and moulded into something unrecognisable overnight and the return of anything close to what we once knew still seems distant. So, we just wanted to do something, anything really. And this is it.

Look, this could be a big disaster but with your help (and some tech fairies on our side) we might just pull it off. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?! :-) 

The other half of the money will go to helping koalas because let's face it, those little dudes have had a rough ride of it and really need our help. Let's not sit back and allow them to go extinct!!
