Lochwinnoch Community Larder
Since we set up the Larder in September we've been delighted at how the community have engaged with the project. We're going through a big development stage at the moment and are trying to improve our facilities. We've just paid a whopping bill to the grid to get electricity connected - over £5000. This work will be starting in the next few weeks. But we still need to pay to bring in water, and as we extend our service and increase our food provision, our running costs go up too.
Funding would help us to:
- Pay an electrician for connecting us to the new supply
- Pay Scottish Water and relevant contractors and plumbers for bringing in our water supply
- Purchase equipment required for kitting out our new cabin and allowing us to open it up to the public
- Cover volunteer expenses (fuel etc. for collecting food from supermarkets) and other running costs
Any help towards these costs would be hugely appreciated and will help us make the most of the space and keep everything going. Thanks to everyone for their continued support. We look forward to seeing you at the Larder!
Our project is part of local charity LEAP.
