Loch Torridon Community Centre - Repairs and Refurbishments

Loch Torridon Community Centre is located in a remote area of the North West Highlands. We support the local population by offering a place to meet, and offer facilities for visitors to help them enjoy their time in the breathtaking scenic area which are are lucky to call home.

The Centre is beginning to show its age and we are starting to look at areas of the building which require upgrading or refurbishment. This was highlighted by the failure of our heating system in 2024. This has now been replaced at a cost of around £30k.

So over the coming months we will be looking at several projects for which donations will be used. These are likely to include:

• Hall kitchen refurbishment

• Hall porch refurbishment

• Selected window and door replacements

• Solar panels

• Energy saving measures – including lighting

For each project we are aiming to apply for grant funding where it is available. Unfortunately, most grants will not fund 100% of a project, so we will often need to have some matched funding raised locally. So, this is where your donations will come into action! We will keep you updated.
