Local Wildlife Rescue & Shelter Koala Fundraiser
Hi,
I'm Sue Moore.
I run the Bass Coast and South Gippsland Wildlife Rescue and Shelter. We need your help so to attend world-class education in Port Macquarie with leaders from the scientific community working on issues associated with koalas; threats and diseases, population dynamics, behaviour, husbandry practices, habitat fragmentation and restoration, legislation, climate change, and of course, the actions required to arrest the decline of koala numbers.
This will help to ensure the ongoing survival of our wonderful and unique local koala population.
Did you know?
Our rescue and shelter provides care for up to 100 koalas and around 400 animals in total each year. We also help save wombats possums, joeys, kookaburras and even penguins occasionally!
The Strzelecki koala population is very important to the survival of the species due to its wide genetic diversity.
The continued operation of our local shelter is dependent on donations.
Please help if you can.
