Local Portland comedy show makes TV pilot
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
Recent years have proven a difficult time for the Portland film and TV community and many of us have found work to be very scarce. But as they say, If you can't get work, make it and for the last two years we have been working in collaboration with Open Signal (Portland’s leading community driven media arts center) to create a comedy series about narcissistic, inept community news personalities called KEPT NEWS. It is currently being aired through Open Signal’s cable access channel and on YouTube. We have managed to create all 6 episodes for an almost zero budget with the help of some of the best local crew and talent who, in the spirit of collaboration, donated their time and skills to make this project come to fruition.
We have had such a positive reaction to KEPT NEWS that we are now preparing to make a full length pilot episode which will be pitched to major networks. In order for us to make this the best possible production and be able to pay our local cast and crew for their time, we are asking for the financial support of our friends, family and community. We sincerely hope that any success we have in this endeavor will enable us to hire more local artists and encourage others to do the same.
The series can currently be found at
