Local Mariposa Family Loses All In French Fire

David Garcia Mendoza & Kaitlyn Medlock- David, a local who dedicates his career to reducing fire fuels and making our community safer, has unfortunately lost his entire home in the wake of the French Fire.

With the clothes on their backs, David and his partner Kaitlyn evacuated their children and a few most important belongings that they could before the fire overtook their house. David is a full-time provider for his 2 boys, Dominic, 5, and Elijah, 1 year old. In addition to clothing, furniture, children’s toys, tool shed, and sentimental belongings, they also lost 4 cats and a litter of 9 kittens. This fund is set up to help rebuild their life and the physical things that they have lost. Your donation will go towards essential items for hygiene, clothes and food! They are seeking to acquire new full-time living accommodations as well. David will continue to work and serve our community, doing the work that he loves in hopes to continue to make a difference in the impacts of wildfires. It will be a hard new road for them to travel as they reacquire the essential things for family life.
