Local Little League needs help

Hello, and thank you for viewing our campaign. We represent New Castle Little League of New Castle, DE. We are celebrating our 51st year of providing a safe and secure outlet for local boys and girls to play baseball and softball.
Last month, our electric provider (not Delmarva Power) advised us that a mistake had been made on their end whereby our monthly electric bill had been calculated incorrectly for the past 12 years. This was the first time we were made aware of this error. They explained that since 2005, our monthly bill had been calculated with a "multiplier" of one (1), when it should have actually been a 40. As a result of their error, we were advised we owe them over $17,000.00. This amount represents 1/3 of our annual income, which comes from player registration fees and proceeds from our concession stand.
Even though our electric provider is willing to spread our repayment plan over a few years, this would be a serious burden for us and might prevent us from making necessary safety and aesthetic improvements to the complex in the future. Since we aren't a very wealthy league, we're asking for your help and consideration in our campaign.
