Help For Kids Who Lost Both Parents
Mitchell (21) is like a brother to me. He and his younger sister, Brooke (17), lost their mother last May 2021 from heart failure and sadly today they unexpectedly lost their father!!
Mr. & Mrs. Pittman were both amazing role models and loving parents. They came to all of our sporting events, became close with all of the other parents and in turn became great friends.
Always with a smile on his face Mr.Pittman was a wonderful role model. Hardworking, never complained and always supportive of his family and friends.
Mitchell and I met in middle school and ever since, has been a wonderful and supportive friend. My heart is beyond broken for both he and his sister.
Mitchells parents taught him to be the man he is today. After graduation from De La Salle, Mitchell went onto college and has been learning what it means to be a young adult. Brooke is graduating from Grosse Pointe North next month and though her angels from above will be there for her spiritually, financially and emotionally is a different story.
My brother Mitchell is 21. His world has changed over night now with a home to take care of, groceries to purchase, bills to pay, and a younger sister to take care of. I am confident he will fall into his fathers footsteps and be the amazing man his father was, but they are going to need a little help to start.
These kids have a long road ahead of them and though they have so much live and support from relatives and friends.. they are now on their own and in a very difficult financial situation.
They have a broken home, but a home. They have bills to pay, Brooke has school, they have responsibilities now that they never thought they’d have this soon.
I pray the community will wrap their arms around Mitch & Brooke and help them in any way they can. Both attended St. Paul, De La Salle and Grosse Pointe Schools, and i am calling to these communities to help.
Please help in anyway you can. The smallest donation is still a donation that will help them live.
Thank you for your love & support,
Tone
