Local music advocate needs your support!

Was hesitant to create this gofundme but felt it was needed at this time. A few weeks ago I was rushed to the hospital in a state of kidney failure. This was a hard hit with a serious diagnosis of kidney failure while also being type1 diabetic having sickle cell trait  and being very anemic. As I usually give what I can to many causes and organizations around town I am in need at this time to ask for your help in the current and future cost arising from me being in and out the hospital,on dialysis ( a years worth of treatment is 150k) ,various surgeries,medications and future at home cost to manage my future health.

Your help will ease the burden of not knowing if bills will be paid or if my treatment will continue. I have a strong support from family but the current and future  cost are major and scary.

This current situation has limited me from performing, touring,doing various speaking engagements and conducting studio sessions which are my main ways of generating income.

About me: I am born in Austin,Texas and I as I like to say I am the kid from kealing! I have been recording and performing music in Austin for over 30 years and have released over 30 albums during this time gaining many awards such as my own day Tee-Double Day ( Sept. 30th) and founded the artist advocacy organization Urban Artist Alliance which also received its own day on Aug.18.

I have been on the advisory boards of The Texas Chapter of The Grammys,Black Fret and Austin Music Foundation all with the purpose of sharing my many years of music knowledge with new and seasoned artist in the music business. I also worked with Spotify to build a recording studio at my old junior high Kealing for future students to further embrace their creative needs.
