Local Hero Tim Hughes and Family

Good things will come to the Hughes family in the future, as they are all great people who’ve served and given to so many. I was once told by a wise friend that Karma is earned, not owed.  This has resinated in my head for quite some time now, and it couldn’t be more fitting than when I think about my brother in Law Enforcement, Tim Hughes.

On Monday September 28th, 2020, Tim lost the hard-fought battle in his attempt to save his home during the Glass Fire that raged through Sonoma and Napa Counties.  With his dedicated friend’s assistance, Tim fought the fire surrounding his property until it was overrun.  The flames ultimately engulfed his property and all his family’s personal effects.  Where you can replace individual “things” with new stuff, it’s the memories those items represent that can’t be replaced.

Tim has spent his entire life in the service of caring for others.  He’s been an amazing father to 3 great kids (Thomas, Ryan, and Hannah), loving husband to a (saint-to-put-up-with-him) Julie, true friend to anyone around him, and a mentor to so many in law enforcement over his 30+ year career.  When around Tim, he always has a smile on his face and to this day, he is still concerned for others before himself.

I’m setting up this fundraiser for my friend and his amazing family during their time of need.  He’s a “don’t make a fuss” man and we are going to have to impose our caring generosity upon Tim and his family.  Please help the Hughes family by donating to this worthy cause.

Thank you
