Help local family rebuild after devastating fire

Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts,

Life can change in an instant, and for the Shortridge family, that moment came with the devastation of a house fire on 01/15/2024. Four local fire departments were thankfully able to brave the cold to put out the fire, but not before it caused major damage, leaving them with not only the loss of their personal items and a roof over their head, but also the heartache of so many family memories being destroyed.

Debbie and Carl are beloved members of this community! Debbie Shortridge has been a Twinsburg resident since the age of twelve. Her and her husband, Carl, have since raised their 3 children and 16 grandchildren in this home. Carl and Debbie are long-standing members of the American Legion. They take pride in donating their time to serving those who serve this country. They are so passionate that they include all of their grandchildren in their volunteer efforts.

In the wake of this tragedy, we are reaching out to our community for support through this GoFundMe campaign. The funds will also assist in the gradual process of rebuilding their home, allowing them to reclaim the sense of normalcy they lost.
