Local family struck by shocking cowboy builders

We are the White family, living in Ringland. We put all our savings and more into converting our garage to a kitchen and new music room for teaching in. We Instructed a building company who were already converting a garage in our street, with a recommendation.

As soon as we noticed things going wrong, the contractor asked us to pay or the builder would do a runner and we would be liable for invoices to be paid. debt collectors!

The roof started sagging and the inspector declared it unsafe, it needed propping. The builder refused and laughed him off.

We stopped the work to have our new baby girl. We should have had our building work complete. Instead we are left with a hole in the side of the house and a structure that needs to be removed and replaced.

We paid £35k which would have been fine if it was done correctly. We want to raise some funds to get some money together to rebuild and peruse court action against the contractor.
