The crew at Auchterarder Fire Station are taking on a special charity challenge — a fire cart pull from the station to Craigrossie and back.
Working in teams of six, firefighters will pull a traditional fire cart, originally built in 1896, along an approximately 11.5‑mile round trip. The route will take the crews down the High Street, along Abbey Road, to the base of Craigrossie, around Ben Effrey, up onto Craigrossie, and then back the same way to the station.
This is a tough physical challenge, but it’s all for a great cause. Our aim is to raise funds for local organisations that make a real difference in our community:
The Blue Door Food Bank, Auchterarder
54th Perthshire (Auchterarder) Scout Group
Merry‑Go‑Round Playgroup, Auchterarder
Firefighters Charity
Any donation, large or small, would be hugely appreciated by everyone at Auchterarder Fire Station and will go directly toward supporting these important causes.
If you’re able to, we’d also love for you to come along on the day to cheer our crews on and help keep spirits high as they pull their way onwards and upwards.
Thank you for your support.
