Hi, my name is Wendi, and I am raising money for my dear friend's husband Peter Castillo. He recently survived a heart attack and is now recuperating at home after several days in the ICU. He may still need to have open heart surgery. To know Marie and Peter is to know some of the most generous people I have ever known. You may know Marie as someone involved in dog rescue or perhaps from the meals she prepared at Thanksgiving for those in need, including some veterans. There is also a large group of people who have come to know and love her through the donations she collected and took to Paradise after the #Campfire. Peter has generously funded many acts of generosity that weren't covered by Marie's sale of keychains and jewelry. I could go on, but the situation now is that Peter cannot work, and the future is financially grim for the foreseeable future. They are not the kind of people who would ever expect anything for the good work and donations they have made. In fact, they were reluctant to allow me to start this appeal for funds. It is with great concern for some good people and community members that I reach out to you now. They need money to survive right now. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
