Hi, my name is Brian Weick. We have a Sister in need of our help. Katie Ferguson was an apprentice at our training center in Mokena and has been out of her time there for about two years now. Katie was one of the best apprentices I have had the honor of teaching and as a single mom has worked hard to get where she is today. Unfortunately, in June 2021 she was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer, enduring radiation and chemotherapy from July to October. As of January 2022 the cancer had spread to her lungs and T7 vertebrae. This past week she has learned that the cancer has spread to her T8 & T6 vertebrae, immediately undergoing radiation treatment for pain management. She will be starting chemo again soon.

Katie is in good spirits and hopeful for an amazing outcome. She did not ask me to do this for her, but as you can appreciate, will need our help ensuring her daughter, Savannah Rae, is well cared for while she is unable to work.
