Lobita's knee operation
Donation protected
Since Lobita was a pup, we noticed that her knee would pop when sitting down, much like a cracking one's knuckles. Over time, due to her energetic personality she managed to tear, and effectively detach her cruciate ligament. As of this August she will be 5 years old, so she still has lots of life to adventure.
We are looking to cover the cost of the operation known as a TPLO (scheduled for June 21 ), and follow up medication/appointments. Quoted at $6000 this is more than our household can cover alone. We are a family of 3, though, 2 are elderly (one of which is on many medications, confined to a wheelchair, and with onset dementia). We are doing what we can to come up with some of the money ourselves, but know that we need help in this.
So why are we asking for a goal that would cover it all ? It was decided that any and all excess funds will be donated to http://www.restqsanctuary.ca/ . They have helped so many in our community, and due to the pandemic they've been unable to have their bingo fundraiser. It would be nice to help them offset that, even just a bit.
It is no stretch of the imagination to think of how important Lobita is to us as a member of the family. More importantly how heartbreaking it is to watch her struggle with her leg when all she want to do is run, jump and play with her friends.
To all who decide to contribute to Lobita's wellness, we would like to thank you on her behalf for the quality of life you are helping her, recover. Also, thank you from her humans.
