LMU SigEp AVC

Who doesn’t love a comeback story?

Just a brief nine months ago, our chapter, the mighty Cal Chi, was on the ropes.  54 men resigned their letters leaving only seven men to pick up the pieces.

These seven men had no idea what challenges would lie ahead but together they were committed to a legacy of greatness and the idea that SigEp values must continue at LMU.

Enter Covid-19 and a complete upheaval of collegiate life.  Remote learning. The suspension of all campus and social life.

The unknown would challenge the group’s resolve and test their commitment, but they would lean on what every Cal Chi members has leaned on since the beginning…our brotherhood.

We end November having recruited 11 new members despite the virtual obstacles. We’ve run a successful Balanced Living Scholarship program generating 6-8 solid recruitment leads for the Spring. Alumni from all eras of Cal Chi’s storied history have engaged in chapter and challenge meetings, offered mentorship, or help with networking opportunities. We’ve come together as a family.

We are 18 strong ready to become 30 men strong in January.

It will be done because at Cal Chi, greatness is simply part of our DNA.

Over the past year, the Alumni & Volunteer Corporation members have fully supported the undergraduates with their time and treasure.  To help keep the charter on the wall and alleviate the strain of our member’s new reality, the AVC assumed responsibility for the chapter’s financial obligations to Headquarter’s freeing the men to be singularly focused on recruitment.

The strain created by the chapter’s needs during this challenging year coupled with the AVC’s efforts to fund undergraduate attendance at SigEp leadership programming and team building has really made a dent in the AVC war chest dedicated to support the chapter.

We need your help.

If the AVC is to continue supporting the undergraduates on their current growth trajectory, we will need to replenish our funds.  The future of this chapter is trending back towards excellence, but without your support, the men will struggle to deliver the meaningful SigEp experience that makes Cal Chi special.

To that end, we’ve created this fundraiser and we are asking you to consider contributing to the cause.  Think back on the impact your membership in this fraternity has had on your life and we asked you to help us ensure future LMU Lions can experience our brotherhood.

Every dollar raised will be used to ensure that our chapter gets back to the excellence which is our tradition.

As a special thank you to any brother who is able to contribute $250 or more, we will send you a specially designed t-shirt commemorating “The Beast” Fr. Fulco.  This is a one of a kind shirt that would make an awesome addition to your SigEp swag.

If you donate more than $250, please message me with T-shirt size (shirts are all men sizes, keep in mind when ordering).

Thank you all for your consideration and support.

Let’s work together to complete this comeback!
