LMG Culvert Clean up

Donation protected
Hello everyone, I am Christina but everyone calls me Serenity. I am a mother, college student, and wildlife rehabber who specializes in Virginia Opossums. I am starting this campaign with the encouragement of my instagram family and friends @Littlemoonsgrove.

Here is my story:

For a year my boyfriend, son, and I have been working towards putting a double-wide on our piece of land. Just a few days ago we found out that a culvert that was installed into the creek wasn't done to code and now there are fines that must be paid. Before we can move forward with our home we must pay for the clean up, removal of the culvert pipe, and fines that were accrued from it being done incorrectly. We were told the clean up and fees, as of right now and if nothing else goes wrong, will be $7,000 USD. I set my goal to be $10,000 as a safety net but absolutely anything is appreciated.

For us, this is more than just money to fix an issue. This is the path to a home, this is where my son will grow up with safety and stability. Where the opossums who come into my care will have their own rehab room where they can heal quietly and grow until they can be released. Where we will plant gardens for the wildlife and our own health. This is the land we will use to build outdoor pre-release cages and be able to release opossums in the area.
This has been the only thing we have been looking forward to since the land was signed over into our names this time last year.  We have been absolutely devastated by the news that this might all have been for nothing and we are about to lose the wonderful future we have been imagining. This has also taken a toll on my rehabbing. Due to our current living situation, I have not been able to take in as much wildlife because I don't have space, as we are living in my parent's home.

The area we live in has gotten extremely expensive in the last ten years. If we lose this opportunity we may have to move an hour or more away from our home and I may have to give up rehabbing for lack of land and space.

Please help me keep my dream of having a safe home and getting to continuing rehabbing our marsupial friends. Thank you  <3

(This is a picture of the land. The house would sit on top of this hill with a driveway going down and towards the right which is where the creek and culvert is. Our plot of land is about 2.70 acres with woods on the backside of the property and no immediate neighbors. Perfect for rehabbing and my little family)
