Family and Friends, As many of you know, Lloyd had to have emergency surgery August 30, 2022 for an aortic dissection. His recovery went extremely well and he was back to work and a semi-normal life. In September of 2023 he started having a hard time breathing and went to the doctor to get checked out. After running tests they found he now has an aortic aneurysm and will need to have surgery to replace the arch and descending part of his aorta. In addition to that, Lloyd is an oddity and has four main arteries coming off of his aortic arch instead of three like most people, so a vascular surgeon will need to remove the fourth artery and attach it to the third one in order for the replacement aorta to fit. We currently live in an Rv and relocated to Limon, Colorado at the end of October to be closer to the hospital in Colorado Springs while waiting for the surgeries, which was originally scheduled for November 8th. Unfortunately, due to a delay in getting approval for the two surgeries, they have been rescheduled for January 12th and 15th. Our RV isn’t set up for winter weather so we will be taking our Rv back to Florida then we will fly back to Colorado in January for his surgeries and recovery. As we all know, Lloyd is very independent and stubborn and has a hard time asking for help, but with the unexpected expense of having to relocate multiple times and be without work for an unknown amount of time for recovery, I am trying to raise funds to help with travel, wages, and medical expenses.
