We recently lost our beloved Lloyd Bert Garcia to pancreatic cancer after an incredible 10 months of fighting. Papa Bert will forever be missed and in our hearts.
Last summer, Bert and his entire family participated in a road race dedicated to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer, known as Polly's Run in Albuquerque, NM. The race is going its 11th year and we wish to support the event. To celebrate the life of Lloyd Bert Garcia and the incredible fight he gave, the family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial gifts be made to support the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Polly Rogers Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund Endowment. "Never tell me the odds!"
Polly's Run is a 501(c)3 through its parent organization known as Runfit. Runfit contributes 100% of the donations to the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Polly Rogers Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund Endowment.
