Help Us Lay Our Father Lloyd A. Hastings to Rest

My name is Loydaisha Hastings, and I’m the eldest child of Lloyd Alexander Hastings, the 42-year-old man who was tragically murdered in Toronto on May 19, 2025.

I’m writing this with a broken heart, on behalf of my siblings and myself, as we try to navigate the most devastating moment of our lives. Our father had no parents, no siblings, no partner — just us, his 11 children, who now have to carry the unbearable weight of saying goodbye to him, completely on our own.

We are 11 grieving children, ranging in age from just 2 years old to 25. The youngest of us are too young to even understand that our dad is never coming back. And as the oldest, I’m doing everything I can to stay strong, but the truth is: we need help.

Our dad left behind no life insurance, no savings, and no financial support. What he did leave behind was a family who loved him deeply — and now, we are asking for compassion and kindness from the public to help us lay him to rest with dignity.

All funds raised will go directly toward:

• Immediate family support to help us get through this overwhelming loss as well as the Burial and funeral expenses
