Llanbradach's Bluebell Wood Preservation
Donation protected
For generations, people in Llanbradach have enjoyed the spectacular blankets of bluebells in our fields and woods.
However, last year the land housing the bluebells was sold with plans to create a caravan and motorhome site. Then suddenly large swathes of land where the bluebells would bloom were dug up, leaving an ugly scar on the landscape.
But we didn’t sit there and do nothing. Public meetings were held, councils, politicians and environmental groups were lobbied and even a march was organised.
With widespread publicity for our campaign, the landowner did a U-turn and halted work but the land has yet to be restored.
Now the land is up for auction once again. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to buy the land and preserve it for future generations.
We know times are hard for many, but with your support, we can raise the funds to buy the land and prevent its destruction. Bluebell Wood is an integral part of the village - let’s keep it that way.
