Like many others, our family has recently reached the end of it's rope financially. No one likes asking for help, and I'm swallowing my pride as I type this, however I don't see many other options left. Here are some words directly from my mother:
"Help Me Save My Home!
This is very hard and embarrassing to have to write. At this time I cannot pay my mortgage. I lost my job at Ft Monmouth in May 2011. I searched diligently for work and finally got a job in November 2013. Unfortunately I was laid off from that job in December 2014. I am once again searching for work, but I haven’t heard back from anyone so far. I started working at age 14 and have worked pretty much ever since. Now it’s getting nearly impossible to find work. Sadly NJ is one of the hardest hit places to try to find work. I will be turning 61 this April. In another year I could start collecting Social Security. I am afraid that if I don’t find a job soon I will be starting retirement without a home. I have paid the mortgage on my house for the last 22 years."
My mom has been an amazing, hardworking woman her entire life. She's given me every opportunity she could've and she's known by many. I am doing what I can, but unfortunately that isn't enough. Thanks for your time.
