With heavy hearts and unbearable sadness, we share the news of LJ’s passing. He left us unexpectedly on Monday April 4, 2022, only two days after his father’s funeral. This abrupt loss is inconceivable and has stolen a sense of closure for our family.

His mother, siblings, family, and friends, we are all still reeling from the loss of our patriarch and now we are deeply entrenched in the agonizing challenge of preparing another funeral just days after saying goodbye.

While it is not possible to ease the pain of losing both a husband and a son, or a father and a brother, or a significant other, or an uncle, a cousin, a nephew, a Godfather, a fishing partner, a friend, while nothing will replace LJ’s witty comebacks and hilarious storytelling, nor his exceptional ability to both make you laugh till you cry and drop your jaw in shock, it is feasible to mitigate some of the financial burden that comes with planning a funeral. In an effort to alleviate some of the financial hardships for our family, we kindly ask for support/funds toward funeral services. Many have reached out wishing to help in any way they can, with this we offer an opportunity to do so. 

While LJ would never ask, we are making the request. We want to give LJ a memorial he deserves in order to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. Any support you may be able to provide is deeply appreciated and would truly help our family during this difficult and trying time.

We don’t schedule the day we leave this earth and we certainly do not ever anticipate planning the funeral for our child. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers as we traverse this unexpected, heart wrenching crisis.
