Lizzy: Small But Fierce (Vol. 2)

My name is Kim and this is the story of one of the cutest, funniest people I know, my niece Lizzy. On April 25, 2018 four year old Lizzy and her family thought they were in the CLEAR from Lizzy's Wilms tumor (neuroblastoma cancer). At the last check-up they had CLEAR scans, CLEAR blood work, and had CLEARED the last round of chemo.
Off they went to get back to the life they knew God had designed for them. Until...... the three month check-up this week when they found out they were no longer CLEAR. An x-ray revealed a spot on her lung and a CT scan confirmed a cancerous nodule.
Lizzy was just 9 months old when God placed her with her family through the foster system. They were blessed to be able to adopt her when she was three. Lizzy is full of life and a ball of energy. She makes everyone around her laugh, especially her big sister Treasure (5), who they also adopted.

Family and friends were so supportive with prayer, love, meal trains, and gift cards during her first cancer diagnosis. Lizzy and her parents feel so blessed to be surrounded with such caring people. However, with the relapse of this cancer their needs have grown exponentially. I asked Lizzy's parents for permission to reach out to all of you since we truly don't know all that lies ahead. The specialized care that Lizzy needs can only be given by the cancer professionals at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Lizzy is facing immediate surgery (July 19) and 40 weeks of inpatient chemo treatments 100 miles from home.

I am asking on behalf of the family for your support over the next 40 weeks to help with the expenses related to travel, food and overnight stays away from home. Most importantly I ask for your continued prayers for our "Small but Fierce" Lizzy.
I believe God is bigger than Lizzy's cancer. I ask for your support as we confidently pray for her healing.
"Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." John 16:33
