Trust me this is the last thing I thought I'd ever have to do, one of those times when you think your having a nightmare but you keep waking up and realizing the painful truth.
  So here's our truth, my beautiful wife and best friend of more than 35 years Liz Cumbess, who has always been a strong advocate for healthy living, staying active, eating healthy, never smoking, someone that always takes care of everyone else, has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. As might be expected we were totally blind sided by this diagnosis and have been living in a somewhat paralyzed state since, but unfortunately this is our reality. We will kick this cancers ass! Liz is the strongest woman I know and is showing me every day how amazing she is.
  We have been through months of tests and hospital stays and transfusions. And we just found out her treatment plan, 12 weeks of chemo once a week followed by a course of hormone pills and monitoring for the next 10 years, we are grateful, it could have been worse. It is all pretty scary for someone that rarely took an aspirin!
  But as you might imagine there's another burden to this nightmare the financial part, the costs of medical care are phenomenal, her 4 day hospital stay was over $40,000. We are thankful for insurance, but co-pays, deductibles, and out of pocket expenses and meds are draining us at an alarming rate, this is a struggle and adds insult to injury and the reason for this page. Thank you so much in advance if your able to help, we also understand times are hard and lots of you may not be able to help financially, simply keep her in your thoughts and prayers and send some good vibes our way, they are just as meaningful to us trust me.
