Hey friends, I want to share a little about what is going on with my best friend of 35 years, Liz Downs. She has recently been diagnosed with stage III ovarian cancer.

Cancer is a dreadful word at any age, but when you're facing this while working full time and helping to support and care for a family, it can be extremely taxing.

Liz has worked for 20+ years as a nurse, and now has to be on the receiving end of a great deal of medical care. She has already undergone a major surgery and started chemo and immunotherapy.

She remains hopeful about her treatment but knows she has a long road ahead.
