Liza Clouse and Trasi Sharp Hurricane Ian Relief

On September 28, Hurricane Ian devasted much of Sanibel Island, the very place Trasi Sharp, Liza Clouse and their three dogs call home.

We are a group of friends raising hurricane relief funds for them because their house, cars and two businesses (Over Easy Café and Island Paws) and consequently their lives took a direct hit.

Additionally, the Sanibel causeway was breached in 5 places making the island inaccessible, and the land itself has been deemed uninhabitable. The causeway repairs could take months to years, creating significant uncertainty around any plans to rebuild.

If you are fortunate enough to have Trasi and Liza in your life, then you have felt the impact these two amazing women have on everyone they meet. Their endless generosity, huge capacity to love and accept, their passion to help others (including but not exclusive to staff, friends, family, their neighbors and all animals), their commitment to their community and incredible work ethic makes them by all accounts, role models to all of us.

They would literally be the first in line to help whoever was affected by this destructive storm, but conversely the last to ask for help.

So, we are doing it for them. It’s time for all of us to give back…and show them how loved and cared for they are.
