Hi, my name is Trista and I am fundraising for my friend/coworker Liz and her daughter Rowen

As most of you already know Liz’s whole world was turned upside down when her 5 year old daughter woke up super swollen one morning at the end of June, What we all thought was an allergic reaction turned out to be a mother’s worst nightmare, a very rare kidney disease;

Membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis type II

Also known as dense deposit disease

Rowen has spent a few days in Brantford General Hospital, before getting transferred to McMaster Children’s Hospital for a couple weeks, she turned 6 years old while dealing with her new health issues (she’s such a trooper) she has had to undergo surgery to have her kidneys biopsy’ed , multiple IVs for infusions, medication and fluids and uncountable needle pokes for blood work.

Liz has not left her baby’s side since she got sick she spent every minute in both hospitals with her and now that they are home Liz is on fulltime mommy/nurse mode. Rowen has a compromised immune system so Liz has to take her to the hospital weekly for infusions, on top of those infusion appointments she has specialist appointments and family dr follow ups, Liz has to measure and weigh Rowen every day to monitor her swelling and administer medications, track and document everything she eats and drinks on a strict diet all while being a SINGLE MOM of 3!!!

Liz hasn’t been able to work, since the end of June which has left her in a horrible situation financially so I am hoping to rally together enough support to help alleviate some of her financial stress so she can concentrate on taking care of her daughter and adjusting to there new lifestyle while they navigate through this horrible diagnosis.
