This is a post I never thought I would have to make. I am one of Liz Tufte’s older sisters. This is being posted on behalf of our entire family. Liz and her boyfriend Chris experienced everyone’s worst nightmare last night – a house fire. After leaving Buffalo, NY to start a new chapter in Raleigh, NC and only owning their first home for six months, this is not what anyone expected or were prepared for. First and foremost, thankfully, no one was injured and the fur-babies are okay as well.

There are a few pictures here, as you can see the house is by NO means livable. Through the next several months they will have to deal with healing from this traumatic incident as well as unfortunately replenishing all of their belongings. No one should ever be in the position to have to buy all new clothes, home essentials, furniture, etc.

We are asking that if you have anything you can spare to help my sister through this situation, it would be appreciated more than you know. This is going to be a long, stressful process of them dealing with insurance companies while trying to maintain and live a normal life with no real finish line in sight as of yet. They have already had a challenging year in other ways, and this is honestly the cherry on top.
