Hi folks. Matthew Borin here. Friday, June 10th my mom passed away after dealing with cancer for almost 15 years.

While she has money saved, and retirement accounts I will not be able to access them until we close probate. I had a very long conversation with her bank yesterday where they drove the point home. They were very understanding, but there wasn't much they could do.

I just met with the people at the mortuary. Cremation alone is $3500. If I can get some help with it, that will allow me to keep the lights on at the house, plan a memorial, and get my mom exactly what she wanted as far as a funeral is concerned. That is, everyone have a shot of whiskey and show up to tell stories.
