Liyalani Strong

This young woman is Liyalani Roebuck, also known as Lili; She is a daughter, sister, and friend amongst other things.  Lili is known and loved by many for countless reasons.  Lili is strong, she’s a fighter that never quits! When faced with obstacles she strives and prevails against all odds.  She is beautiful beautiful inside and out, to know her is to love her.   

Over the past years as she attended high school Liyalani worked multiple jobs such as McDonald's,  Wendys, AMC....  She even volunteered with survivors of domestic abuse at the Shani Baracka center,  she worked closely with her Principal and school staff in multiple programs at West Side High.  As you can see she has a great work  ethic.  Liyalani was set to embark on a new journey to Hampton University August 20th, 2020 for the fall semester.  She dreams of being a Forensic Scientist.

Sadly things didn't go according to plan.  On August 7th, 2020 she was a victim of senseless violence, she was shot in the head multiple times suffering injuries that left her bed ridden.  She is still in the ICU fighting to get back to the life she was robbed of.  Lili did not deserve this and I ask that we all seek #JusticeforLiyalani.  If we don't take action today it can happen to you tomorrow
