Liv is a friend, a spouse, a sibling, and to some of you, a stranger, but I cannot express enough how amazing and deserving they are of your help.

Liv is a trans non-binary person who has long wanted nothing more than to get top surgery. They have been on a big journey, just as so many others have, to feel affirmed in who they are. Over a year ago, Liv was finally able to take the first major step in this journey when they were prescribed their first dose of testosterone. Since then, I’ve seen their light brighten with access to this gender-affirming care. They feel so much more like themselves, and to see that is a beautiful thing. But it’s not enough. I want them to feel completely like themselves, and for that, they need top surgery.

Liv is the kind of person who will always put everyone else first, and they are not one to ask for help. They are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Alongside being a full-time student, they work as a young adult professional at the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands, giving back to the community.

Liv shows up for people, even those they don’t know. They believe in advocacy and supporting others, and I hope that by creating this fund for them, they will see people show up and support them as well.

On May 13th, we have a consultation with a doctor for Liv’s surgery. No date has been set yet, but we’re hoping to schedule something within the year. In order for Liv to receive the surgery, they must pay the full amount two weeks before the procedure. I will send updates when the surgery date is confirmed.

Your help will not only cover the surgery but will also contribute to Liv’s post-surgery care.
