We all know her ambition is to become a paediatric heart surgeon and she’s putting all of her time and effort in to building her portfolio and points for future applications. This placement will give her crucial points towards her application which has a competition ratio of 46:1!!

Her placement will begin in June of this year and of course it comes with a cost!

We have a lot of outgoings, most of which need paying and booking within the next few weeks, approx:

Flights £1500

Accommodation £1275

Placement Fee £500

Visa

Placement vaccines

Living costs for the month

Travel to and from placement daily

We are looking at ways to fundraise and will use this page as a way of keeping all funds together. We’re anticipating £4000+ in total costs, although she is able to claim back a small amount from the NHS after the placement has been completed.
